Project Description
This project involved the installation of a durable metal tile roofing system on a residential property in Caledon, Ontario. The homeowner selected high-quality ArcelorMittal metal tile panels in the elegant Mocha Brown color, providing both long-term protection and a refined appearance that complements the architecture of the home.
In this case, the existing asphalt shingles were left in place. Since the shingles already provide a protective layer over the plywood deck, the homeowner chose not to install an additional synthetic membrane. Instead, our team installed a wood strapping system directly over the existing shingles, creating the necessary ventilation gap between the old roof and the new metal panels. This approach allows air circulation under the metal roofing, helping to reduce condensation and improve the overall performance of the roof.
Once the strapping system was completed, the ArcelorMittal metal tile panels were carefully installed along with all required flashings, trims, and roofing accessories to ensure a clean finish and reliable weather protection.
The finished roof combines the strength and longevity of steel roofing with the classic look of traditional roof tiles. With proper ventilation and professional installation, this metal roof system offers excellent durability and resistance to Ontario’s changing weather conditions while significantly enhancing the home’s curb appeal.
