Project Description
Metal roof installation Milton Ontario involved the installation of a durable Monterrey-style metal tile roofing system designed to improve both the performance and appearance of the home.
The existing asphalt shingles were left in place and used as a protective base layer for the roof deck. Our team installed a strapping system directly over the shingles, creating the required ventilation space for the metal roofing panels while avoiding unnecessary removal of the existing roofing materials.
A significant part of this project was the complete replacement of seven skylights. All existing skylights were carefully removed to allow for proper preparation of the roof openings. New skylight boxes were installed and the surrounding areas were sealed using Soprema Blueskin membrane with primer, ensuring reliable waterproofing around each penetration.
After the preparation was completed, we installed new triple-glazed skylights, providing improved insulation, durability, and energy efficiency. The skylights were then integrated into the metal roofing system using appropriate flashing and sealing techniques to ensure long-term weather protection.
The final roofing system features Monterrey metal tiles in black, creating a clean and modern look that complements the architecture of the home while offering excellent resistance to Ontario’s weather conditions.
This project demonstrates how a properly installed metal roofing system combined with professional skylight integration can significantly enhance both the functionality and aesthetics of a residential roof.
